KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- Business West, in cooperation with Kansas City Kansas Community College, will sponsor a candidate forum later this month.
The forum is at 6 p.m. March 18 in Upper Jewell on the KCKCC Main Campus, 7250 State Ave. The general election is Tuesday, April 7.
Candidates in contested races for the Unified Commission, the Board of Public Utilities, the Kansas City, Kansas Board of Education and the KCKCC Board of Trustees have been invited.
Candidates will be given up to three minutes to make introductory remarks. Representatives from community organizations and the media will ask candidates questions. Candidates will then have up to two minutes to respond and will have up to two minutes for closing remarks at the end of the forum.
The forum will be videotaped and will be shown on KCKCC’s Cable Channel 17.
