KANSAS CITY,KAN. ---- This weekend, the Wyandotte County District Attorney's Office charged Andrew M. Farish with murder in connection to an end of the week homicide in Rosedale.

On today’s date the Wyandotte County District Attorney’s Office filed criminal charges in Friday’s homicide. On February 6, 2015 at approximately 0407 hours the police responded to the 2400 block of West 42nd Avenue in the Rosedale area of Kansas City, Kansas.
The body of Gerardo Jimenez was found inside of a residence there. He was determined to have died from multiple gunshots wounds. Jimenez was a Kansas City, Kansas resident.
The Kansas City, Kansas major case unit investigated the matter. They received assistance from the Kansas City, Missouri and Westwood, Kansas police departments. On Friday afternoon Andrew M. Farish was arrested in Kansas City, Missouri for this matter.
This morning, this office charged Farish was single counts of Murder in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Farish was previously prosecuted by the Wyandotte County District Attorney’s office. In 2008 he plead guilty to a felony robbery charge.
A warrant was obtained for his arrest from Judge William Mahoney. Farish is in custody in Kansas City, Missouri awaiting extradition to Wyandotte County. Bond is set at $1,000,000.
Andrew Farish is a 25 year old white male and resides in Westwood, Kansas.
The investigation is continuing by the major case unit of the Kansas City, Kansas police department with assistance from this office. Persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
