EXPECT DELAYS! WEEKEND OVERNIGHT LANE CLOSURES: Eastbound and westbound I-70 from K-7 to 134th Street will be reduced to ONE OPEN LANE each direction for bridge deck removal work (Ramp F bridge shown above) beginning at 9:00 p.m. TONIGHT, Friday, December 19 and will reopen to all traffic at 12:00 p.m. NOON tomorrow, Saturday, December 20, weather permitting in Bonner Springs.
EXPECT DELAYS! WEEKEND OVERNIGHT LANE CLOSURES: Eastbound and westbound I-70 from K-7 to 134th Street will be reduced to ONE OPEN LANE each direction for bridge girder removal work (Ramp F shown above) beginning at 9:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20 and will reopen to all traffic at 12:00 p.m. NOON on Sunday, December 21, weather permitting in Bonner Springs.
EXPECT DELAYS! WEEKEND DAYTIME LANE CLOSURE: Westbound I-70 at K-7 will be reduced to ONE OPEN LANE for pavement marking work on Saturday, December 20 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., weather permitting in Bonner Springs. This lane reduction will be the same lane in conjunction with the closure listed above.
Drivers will be directed through the project work zone via message boards, signage and cones. Drivers should expect delays and should allow extra time for their weekend commutes. The Kansas Department of Transportation urges all motorists to be alert, obey the warning signs, and “Give ‘Em a Brake!” when approaching and driving through the project work zone.
