Jamon Keith Garner, 34, who is in custody, is charged with one count of unlawful possession of a firearm following a felony conviction, one count of possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.
The incident is alleged to have occurred Dec. 5, 2014, in Shawnee County, Kan.
Upon conviction, the crimes carry the following penalties:
- Unlawful possession of a firearm following a felony conviction: A maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000.
- Possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine: A maximum penalty of 20 years and a fine up to $1 million.
- Unlawful possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking: Not less than five years and a fine up to $250,000.

Michael Francis Dorsch, 29, Mayetta, Kan., is charged with one count of carjacking.
The indictment alleges that on Nov. 14, 2014, Dorsch used force against another person to steal a 2004 GMC Yukon. The crime is alleged to have occurred in Shawnee County, Kan.
If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000. The Topeka Police Department and the FBI investigated. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jared Maag is prosecuting.
Jason H. Carmichael, 41, Wichita, Kan., is charged with one count of theft occurring on federal property.
The indictment alleges that on July 4, 2013, he stole a construction trailer containing construction equipment belonging to Image Flooring Concepts Inc. The theft took place on Fort Riley, which is a federal military installation.
If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000. U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command investigated. Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Robin Graham is prosecuting.

Norman Adonay-Suarez, 43, a citizen of Honduras, is charged with unlawfully re-entering the United States after being deported. He was found Sept. 11, 2014, in Sedgwick County, Kan.
He faces a maximum penalty of two years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Operations investigated. Assistant U.S. Attorney Brent Anderson is prosecuting.
In all cases, defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The indictments merely contain allegations of criminal conduct.
