KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- From the Johnson County Sheriff's Office:
Shortly after midnight on December 3rd , the Gardner Police Department received multiple calls of an intoxicated driver driving recklessly on I35. Responding officers located the vehicle on the Interstate near Gardner Road.
Gardner officers observed continuous erratic behavior that posed a great risk to public safety. Repeated attempts to stop the vehicle were unsuccessful.
The driver of the vehicle, Arthur Lee Wright of Kansas City, KS, crashed in the 35000 block of 199th Street and was pronounced dead at the scene. Mr. Wright was 65 years old. The incident remains under investigation by the Johnson County Sheriff's Office.
