KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- To honor area veterans, The Metro, The JO, Unified Government Transit and IndeBus will offer free fares to veterans on Tuesday, Nov. 11.
Veterans should show their Department of Veterans Affairs VIC (Veterans Identification Card) or a Missouri or Kansas driver’s license or state-issued identification card displaying “Veteran” on the back of the license.
The Metro will operate regular weekday service on Veterans Day.
In observance of the holiday, KCATA administrative offices will be closed. However, the Regional Call Center and the Share-A-Fare offices will operate normal hours on Tuesday.
