KANSAS CITY METRO TRAFFIC ALERT: Pflumm Road at I-435 WEEKDAY OVERNIGHT ROADWAY CLOSURE TRAFFIC ALERT for November 4-5
KANSAS CITY, KAN. ----- Northbound and southbound Pflumm Road under the I-435 bridges between College Boulevard and 103rd Street will be CLOSED to all traffic for concrete pour work on the widening of the westbound I-435 to I-35 bridge beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 4 and reopening the following morning at 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, (the rescheduled dates were for tonight into tomorrow morning, November 3-4), weather permitting.
This roadway closure is being rescheduled as heavy rains are forecasted overnight tonight which will make it too wet for an effective concrete pour.
Access will be provided to local traffic only between College Boulevard and 103rd Street. There will be NO ACCESS to any traffic between 106th Street and 107th Street during the overnight closures.
Advance message boards will alert traffic to the roadway closure. A marked detour will be provided. Pflumm Road traffic will detour via 103rd Street to College Boulevard to Quivira Road back to Pflumm Road. See detour route map below. Drivers should expect minor delays overnight and must use alternate routes during the roadway closure.
Updated daily traffic information for this interchange project can be viewed at: www.jocogateway.com and for the entire Kansas City Metro Area at: www.ksdot.org/kcmetro/laneclose.asp.
The Kansas Department of Transportation urges all motorists to be alert, obey the warning signs, and “Give ‘Em a Brake!” when approaching and driving through the project work zone.
