KANSAS CITY METRO TRAFFIC: I-435 & Roe Avenue Interchange
KANSAS CITY, KAN. ----- Eastbound and westbound I-435 at Roe Avenue will be reduced to ONE/TWO OPEN LANE(S) overnight this week October 20-24, weather permitting, so crews can complete bridge painting on the new Roe Avenue bridge structures.

Monday, October 20 – REOPENS at 5 a.m. Tuesday, October 21
7 p.m. Eastbound and westbound I-435 TWO LEFT LANES at Roe Avenue CLOSED – TWO LANES EACH DIRECTION WILL REMAIN OPEN
Tuesday, October 21 – REOPENS at 5 a.m. Wednesday, October 22
7 p.m. Eastbound I-435 THREE LEFT LANES from just past Antioch Road to the left lane past Nall Avenue to Roe Avenue CLOSED – ONE LANE WILL REMAIN OPEN
Nall Avenue to eastbound I-435 ramp CLOSED
Wednesday, October 22 – REOPENS at 5 a.m. Thursday, October 23
7 p.m. Eastbound I-435 THREE LEFT LANES from just past Antioch Road to the left lane past Nall Avenue to Roe Avenue CLOSED – ONE LANE WILL REMAIN OPEN
Nall Avenue to eastbound I-435 ramp CLOSED.
Thursday, October 23 – REOPENS at 5 a.m. Friday, October 24
7 p.m. Westbound I-435 THREE LEFT LANES from past State Line Road to left lane before Roe Avenue CLOSED – ONE LANE WILL REMAIN OPEN
Westbound I-435 to Nall Avenue ramp CLOSED.
Marked detours via portable message boards will be provided for both overnight ramp closures. See detour maps below.
Drivers should expect delays during the overnight lane and ramp closures and should allow extra time for their evening commutes.

The Kansas Department of Transportation urges all motorists to be alert, obey the warning signs, and “Give ‘Em a Brake!” when approaching and driving through the project work zone.
The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late November 2014, weather permitting.
