Three charged with distributing drugs in Wyandotte County
KANSAS CITY, KAN. ----- Emanuel Godinez-Perez, 31, Jose Menera-Alvarez, 22, and Gilberto Cano-Bahena are charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
In addition Godinez-Perez is charged with two counts of distributing methamphetamine. The crimes are alleged to have occurred in June and July 2014 in Wyandotte County, Kan.
If convicted, the defendants face a penalty of not less than 10 years and a fine up to $10 million on the conspiracy count, and a penalty of not less than five years and not more than 40 years and a fine up to $5 million on each of the other counts.
Homeland Security Investigations investigated. Assistant U.S. Attorney Tris Hunt is prosecuting.
They are innocent until proven guilty.
