KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- The Delta Dental of Kansas (DDKS) Foundation, Wichita, has granted a total of $99,401 to three Kansas City-area organizations: American Diabetes Association, Overland Park, Health Partnership Clinic of Johnson County, Olathe, and Southwest Boulevard Family Health Clinic, Kansas City, Kan.
The DDKS Foundation provides grants to Kansas-based oral health programs that emphasize prevention, have a significant impact and are sustainable solutions to improve the oral health of Kansans.
Since 2004, the Delta Dental of Kansas Foundation has touched the lives of more than 1 million Kansans in all 105 counties through grants totaling more than $7 million.
Kansas City grants:
- $3,563 to the American Diabetes Association to be used toward purchasing 135 Vitality toothbrushes for Camp Discovery youth and oral health education inserts for Camp Planet D and American Diabetes Month.
- $67,394 to the Health Partnership Clinic of Johnson County for the purchase of dental equipment and supplies for the pediatric outreach program and expanded endodontic and oral surgery services.
- $28,444 to Southwest Boulevard Family Health Clinic to purchase dental equipment, to equip additional dental hygienists.
