Investigators said officers first tried to arrest a man in the area of 40th Street and Euclid Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri. Police said the man drove away from the scene and headed into Kansas City, Kansas. Police said the driver nearly struck an officer with his vehicle during the early part of the chase.
