KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- For the second time, the opening date of the new Verruckt water-slide at Schlitterbahn has been pushed back.
Originally set to open May 23, the date was pushed back to June 5.
Now, waterpark officials say the slide will open June 29.
Schlitterbahn said the slide is function, but a few operational tweaks are being worked on by the waterpark.
Earlier this spring, the slide was declared the world's tallest slide by officials from the Guinness World Record organization.
