TRAFFIC: I-70/KTA traffic alert for June 1-4, 2014 in Wyandotte County

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ----- The Kansas Turnpike Authority will have varying overnight lane and ramp closures for bridge pavement repair work on I-70 over 47th Street and on I-70 over I-435 in Wyandotte County on Sunday-Wednesday, June 1-4 as follows.

Project work is scheduled to be completed on Wednesday, June 4, weather permitting.

Sunday, June 1 - REOPEN at 7:00 a.m., Monday, June 2

• 7:00 p.m.     CLOSE eastbound and westbound I-70 right lanes over 47th Street bridge8:00 p.m.     CLOSE southbound I-635 to westbound I-70 entrance ramp

Monday, June 2 - REOPEN at 7:00 a.m., Tuesday June 3

• 7:00 p.m.     CLOSE eastbound I-70 left two lanes over 47th Street bridge

Tuesday, June 3 - REOPEN at 7:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 4

• 7:00 p.m.     CLOSE westbound I-70 two left lanes over I-435 bridge
• CLOSE northbound I-435 to westbound I-70 entrance ramp.Northbound I-435 traffic will detour via State Avenue exit to southbound I-435 back to westbound I-70.

Traffic will be directed through the project work zone via signage. Drivers should expect minor delays during their daily commutes.
