KANSAS CITY, KAN. ----- Kansas Sen. Pat Pettey is under fire this week following a story from NBC Action News.
NBC 41's story, which can be found here, covers the struggle of improving homes in a portion of the Argentine area in Kansas City, Kan.
Two of the homes are owned by Pettey. Neighbors interviewed for the story consider the homes to be the biggest "eyesores" in the area of S. 35th Street.
"We're trying to maintain them at the best level that they can and we're meeting the level of a rental license and if ever our properties have a code violation we comply," Pettey told NBC Action News.
According to the story, all of Pettey's properties passed the recent renters inspection, which was done four years ago.
