The breakfast is from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11 at KCKCC, Flint Building. During the session, “Financing Your Business – Startup and Expansion,” experts will share startup financing options as well as funding options for business expansion.
Panel members include Brande Stitt, Kansas Women’s Business Center; Patrick Hosty, Valdes & Moreno Inc. and Cindy Dunn, First State Bank & Trust.
This is the second of five monthly breakfast meetings designed to help further economic expansion in Wyandotte and Leavenworth counties.

“The Business Solutions Series promotes networking, information sharing and creating awareness for small business owners and entrepreneurs,” said Marisa Gray, business development liaison for KCKCC’s Workforce Development. “If you are looking for financial resources or want to learn more about your options, this is an opportunity to engage with experts in the field.”
The final three meetings to be held include:
- March 11 – Business Share. Two local entrepreneurs will present their startups to a community of mentors, advisors and entrepreneurs. The business sharing will prepare a five-minute presentation and then engage in 20 minutes of feedback and discussion with the audience.
- April 4 – Innovation Summit. Local entrepreneurs will pitch their newest ideas to venture capitalists and investors.
- May 13 – Affordable Care Act. Insurance can be complicated, especially as a business owner. Ask questions to expert panelists to make the complicated simple.
