The Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department is calling the damage amount a "total loss."

Firefighters reported to the scene early Thursday morning at around 3:50 a.m. No one was injured in the fire.

"Crews made an interior attack, but were forced out when the roof collapsed at the rear of the structure," said Craig Duke, PIO Deputy Chief of the Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department. "BPU responded because of power lines down at the rear of the structure and to disconnect utilities to structure."
