Santa Claus is Coming to KCKCC

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ----- Santa Claus is coming to Kansas City Kansas Community College, and he is having breakfast with children and families.

The Kids’ Breakfast with Santa is from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 in the Deli Area of Lower Jewell. The event is free, and all children and grandchildren of students, faculty and staff are invited.

KCKCC has been hosting the Kids’ Breakfast with Santa for the last 25 years. Activities include a pancake breakfast and of course, a visit from St. Nick himself. There will also be an opportunity for children to have their picture taken with Santa.

Student Senate officers will sing holiday carols, and there will be a prize drawing for each age group (0-4); (5-8) and (9-12). Children will receive a small bag of candy at the end of the event. This is a great way to kick-off the holiday season in a family-friendly way right here at KCKCC.

“It has continued because it’s so popular,” said Linda Sutton, director of student activities at KCKCC. “It’s Student Senate’s way of giving back to students, faculty and staff - especially for our evening students who cannot attend events during this day. It’s an opportunity to bring your child(ren) to where you attend school or work.”
