KANSAS CITY, KAN. --- The Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department is investigating a fire that happened early Wednesday morning.
KCK firefighters reported to the scene of the fire - 10306 Webster - just after 2:20 a.m. on Wednesday.
The fire, which was spotted by a Deffenbaugh Truck driver, happened at a one-story home in the area.
"Fire had started on the exterior of the structure and had traveled to the attic area through the eaves," said Craig Duke, Deputy Chief of the KCK Fire Department. "Crews made an aggressive interior attack on the fire and prevented fire spread through the remainder of the structure. Fire was under control within 15 minutes."
According to Duke, the fire caused $50,000 worth of damage.
No one was injured.
