KANSAS CITY, Kan.— The 12th annual gala to benefit cancer patient care at The University of Kansas Hospital was held Friday, September 6 and grossed the most money in the history of the event generating $1.35 million in donations from the community, corporate sponsors and patrons.
KANSAS CITY, Kan.— The 12th annual gala to benefit cancer patient care at The University of Kansas Hospital was held Friday, September 6 and grossed the most money in the history of the event generating $1.35 million in donations from the community, corporate sponsors and patrons.
All proceeds go directly to cancer patient care.
Each year, an area of patient care is identified and proceeds are pledged in advance to that care.
This year’s proceeds will benefit “personalized medicine” which is strongly believed to be the future in the fight against cancer.
