KANSAS CITY, KAN. – Among a crowd of 400 alumni and friends, Bishop Ward High School will make an announcement at the 35th Annual Auction: Table of Plenty, regarding a special gift given to the school.
The announcement will be made by President Father Michael Hermes at the beginning of the Live Auction scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. in the gymnasium. There will be a short photo opportunity after the announcement.
Join us to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of this event, where we're returning to the school and putting a twist on the traditional formal dinner format. The night starts at 5:30 p.m. with the Silent Auction and a social reception featuring bite-sized finger foods from local Kansas City restaurant favorites.
The Nigro Brothers return again this year to help with the night’s main event, the Live Auction, which begins at 7:30 p.m. in the gymnasium. The 2013 Fund-A-Need will be new carpet and the replacement of the original 1931 seats in the Willard L. Phillips Memorial Auditorium.
The 35th Annual Auction is expected to raise $100,000 towards the Student Scholarship Fund, which helps to subsidize the full cost of tuition and ensure a quality, Catholic, college-preparatory education is affordable for all students that desire it.
This announcement will affect students now and for many generations to come.
