KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- Back in the national volleyball rankings, Kansas City Kansas Community College’s streaking Lady Blue Devils made it seven in a row Wednesday with a 3-0 sweep at Fort Scott.
Ranked No. 19 in the latest NJCAA Division II national poll, the Blue Devils moved their record to 8-3 with a 25-14, 25-16. 25-18 win. The win kept the Blue Devils unbeaten in the Jayhawk Conference (2-0) and Region VI (3-0).
The triumph also sets up a big Jayhawk showdown with at No. 6 ranked Johnson County (10-4) a week from Friday, Sept.20, at 5 p.m.
KCKCC has not lost since the season’s opening Southeastern Iowa Tournament where all three losses were at the hands of nationally ranked teams, No. 2 Parkland, No. 8 Kirkwood and No. 12 Southeastern Iowa.
