KCKCC volleyball streak to six with sweep of Highland Tournament

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- Kansas City Kansas Community College’s on-charging women’s volleyball team made it six wins in a row by sweeping the Highland Tournament Friday and Saturday.
Losing just two games in the four matches, the Lady Blue Devils boosted their season’s record to 7-3 heading into road games at Fort Scott Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and at Johnson County Sept. 20 at 5 p.m.
They do not return home until Sept. 25 against Allen County.
The Blue Devils opened the Highland tournament by sweeping Longview 25-17, 25-14, 25-16 and taking three of four from Southwestern Iowa 25-13, 25-18, 24-26, 25-22 on Friday, before taking on two Jayhawk Conference members on Saturday, defeating Pratt 25-21, 25-27, 25-16, 25-19, and Cloud 25-16, 25-29, 25-9.
