Job fair set for Sept. 17

The Unified Government, in partnership with local organizations, will host a job fair on Tuesday, Sept. 17th from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.at the Jack Reardon Convention Center located at 5th Minnesota Avenue.

Job seekers are encouraged to dress in appropriate attire and should bring their resume to share work experience with potential employers that will be conducting interviews during the event.

The first hour, from 9 a.m. - 10 a.m., will be dedicated exclusively to military veterans, but the remaining hours, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., will be open to the public.

There is no cost to employers or job seekers and parking is also free.

The Hilton Garden Inn, GFI Digital, Inc., Kansas City, Kansas Community College & Technical Education Center, KANSASWORKS and Workforce Partnership are sponsors of the event.
