KANSAS CITY, KAN. --- The Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department is investigating a suspicious fire from early Wednesday morning.
KANSAS CITY, KAN. --- The Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department is investigating a suspicious fire from early Wednesday morning.
Kansas City, Kan., firefighters reached the scene of the fire - 1229 Wood Ave. - at around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The fire caused $40,000 worth of property damage and $10,000 worth of content damage.
No one was injured.
"Crews were on the scene within three minutes and reported fire coming from the front of a one-story residential structure," said Craig Duke, battalion chief of the KCK Fire Department. "A primary search of structure confirmed that no one was at home."
Duke said a fire investigator was brought to the scene.
The fire remains under investigation by the KCK Fire Department.
