Three Kansas legislators will outline “What’s Percolating in the Kansas Legislature” in a program at Kansas City Kansas Community College Thursday, Aug. 29.
Sen. Pat Petty and Rep. Kathy Wolfe Moore and Valdenia Winn will discuss what’s happening in the Kansas Legislature and particularly legislation affecting women in the program to be held from 9-10:30 a.m. in Room 2325 on the lower level of the Jewell Student Center. Coffee will be served.
Free and open to the public, the program is part of a series of events occurring in the greater Kansas City area in celebration of Women’s Equality Week in honor of the 93rd anniversary of women gaining the right to vote.

The event is sponsored by the KCKCC Chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW), Workforce Development, Intercultural Center and Community Outreach Counseling Program, Women’s Resource Center and MainStream Coalition.
