KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- A Friday evening fire at a local tire shop on 75th and State Avenue caused about $500,000 worth of damage.
The Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department responded to a fire shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Friday at Tires Plus, located at 7815 State Ave.
KCK Fire Department Deputy Chief Craig Duke said the fire is under investigation and the cause is unknown at this point.
"Crews on the scene within one minute reported heavy fire coming from the front of an automotive repair and tire facility," Duke said. "Crews were able to force entry through front doors and attack fire."
KCK firefighters had the fire under control within 15 minutes.
No one was injured.
