KCKFD investigating fire at vacant apartment building

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ---- The Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department is investigating a fire at a vacant apartment building.
The fire was reported to the KCK Fire Department at around 11:15 p.m. late Sunday evening.
No one was injured in the fire.
According to KCK Fire Department Deputy Chief Craig Duke, 15 individuals were evacuated from the building for precautionary measures.
"Crews on the scene within two minutes of a reported structure collapse," Duke said. "Crews found four three-story apartment buildings, three of which were being renovated and one occupied. The building beside occupied structure had a partial collapse of its roof causing exterior walls to bow."
The dollar amount of damage is unknown at this point.
