The 2014 fiscal year budget for the Unified Government will be presented July 15.
A "pre-budget" public hearing was held Thursday, where over 20 residents chimed in on subjects including public transportation, the subject of a grocery store in northeast Wyandotte County and other issues related to economic development.
Before the public hearing began, officials announced the timeline of action.
Key dates:
- July 15 - The budget will be presented at 5 p.m.
- July 18-29 - Several commission budget workshops will be presented during this time frame. Exact dates and times will be announced down the road.
- July 29 - A final public hearing will be held.
- August 1 - The budget will be adopted.
