KCK Chamber seeking nominations for awards

The Kansas City Kansas Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting nominations for the 2013 Small Business of the Year and New Small Business of the Year awards, which are presented by Humana.

To be eligible for the awards the following criteria must be met:

NEW SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR

• Must be locally owned and operated in the Kansas City metropolitan area

• Small Business is defined as having 75 Full Time Employees (F.T.E.) or less

• Must be a for-profit business

• Must be in business for less than three years

• Not required to be a member of the KCK Chamber of Commerce

SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR

• Must be locally owned and operated in the Kansas City metropolitan area

• A Small Business is defined as having 75 Full Time Employees (F.T.E.) or less

• Must be a for-profit business

• Must be in business three or more years

• Member of the KCK Chamber of Commerce

Winners will be announced Friday, June 7 at the Small Business Awards luncheon at Sporting Park.
