A special guest from Vancouver, British Columbia, will join Chris Hazelton and Friends at the March “Jazz by the Lake” mid-day concert at Kansas City Kansas Community College Thursday, March 7.
Cory Weeds, a tenor saxophone and a JUNO Award winner, will perform during the concert to be held from noon-1 p.m. in the Conference Center adjacent to the campus lake at the south end of the KCKCC campus at 7250 State Avenue. Open to the public, there is no charge.
A KCKCC alum who plays the Hammond B3 organ, Chris Hazelton will be joined on drums by Kevin Frazee and on guitar by Danny Embrey, who formerly played with Sergio Mendes.
In addition to winning a Canadian Grammy award, Weeds is a record label and club owner.
