City crews have been working around the clock aggressively clearing snow in residential neighborhoods.
Public Works reports that the majority of the neighborhoods have been plowed and they will continue well into the evening and night hours addressing concerns and re-plowing roadways.
All bus transit services are up and running, but there may be some delays.
Deffenbaugh has resumed its normal schedule for residential trash service. This means that Wednesday, Thursday and Friday collection will occur on their normal days:
- Wednesday’s trash collected today
- Thursday’s pick-up will be on Thursday
- Friday’s pick-up will occur on Friday
- Tuesday’s trash collection will take place on Saturday, March 2
Deffenbaugh asks residents to help drivers by making sure containers and bags are not buried or bound by snow.
BPU linemen and personnel have been working around the clock to restore power outages. There were an estimated 21,379 customers affected during the peak of the outage period. Currently, the number of customers without power has been decreased to 1,887 with an estimated time of restoration being late tonight
Residents are encouraged to call the County’s 311 Call Center with questions regarding snow removal or trash collection.
