4:30 p.m. storm update: Reardon declares emergency, all UG offices closed Tuesday, trash collection delayed

With the storm starting, here's some important information for Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kan., residents:

• All Unified Government offices will be closed on Tuesday. This includes both the Municipal Court and Wyandotte County District Court. 

• UG Transit will be closed tomorrow, including all fixed routes and Dial-A-Ride.

• Deffenbaugh will not be collecting trash on Tuesday.

• Meanwhile, Unified Government Mayor/CEO Joe Reardon has declared a state of emergency for Wyandotte County and KCK.

The UG is hoping that they'll be open for business on Wednesday., but an announcement will come later to confirm that decision.
