The Harmon Hawks boys soccer team is two wins away from the school's first ever state championship in any sport.
Harmon won a thriller against Topeka-Seaman Tuesday night, winning 5-4 in penalty kicks after business could not be settled in regulation.
Giovanni Calderon scored Harmon's goal in regulation.
Following regulation, multiple overtime periods were held. However, the score remained tied at at 1, thus the penalty kicks were needed.
Harmon will take on Liberal at 5 p.m. Friday evening at the Hummer Sports Complex in Topeka, Kan.
Regardless of that game's result, the Hawks will be playing twice this weekend.
If Harmon loses the game, they will take on the loser of the Bishop Miege-Wichita KMC game at noon Saturday. If Harmon wins the game, they advance to the championship game, which will be played at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
Harmon enters the championship round 18-1, with the loss coming to Blue Valley Northwest, the number one ranked team in Kansas 6A.
It will be the first trip to Topeka in the history of the Harmon Hawks boys soccer program.
