Man charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection to traffic death

News Release:

Wyandotte County District Attorney Jerome A. Gorman charged Clarence Whitaker, Black Male, Kansas City, Kansas, DOB: 12-22-51, with Involuntary Manslaughter and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol in connection with the June 30, 2012, traffic death of Jeffrey Sharts, which occurred at 47th and Parallel Pkwy. in Kansas City, Kansas. Whitaker is currently in the Wyandotte County Jail in lieu of $75,000.00 bond. He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
