The Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department is investigating a potential arson fire set at 7909 Elizabeth Ave.
The fire occurred shortly after 4 a.m. in Kansas City, Kan., Tuesday morning. One male resident inside the home was treated for smoke inhalation.
According to KCK Fire Department Battalion Chief Craig Duke, the department is investigating the fire as "intentional."
"Crews were on the scene within three minutes and reported a fire showing from a one-story residential structure," Duke said. "Crews were informed that all residents had self-evacuated. Smoke alarms had alerted residents of fire."
About $70,000 worth of damage was caused by the fire.
Outside of the individual who suffered from smoke inhalation, no one else was hurt.
