Two wounded in Quindaro shooting on Sunday

News release from the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department:

On 09/03/2012, at approximately 1600 hours, the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department responded to 27th & Quindaro Boulevard on a reported shots fired call. Upon arrival officers were told that two groups of black males began shooting at each other, in the parking lot, at the corner of 27th & Quindaro Boulevard.

The preliminary investigation revealed that there were two gunshot victims from the shooting.

Victim #1 is an 18 year old, black male, who was transported to an area hospital, with minor injuries.

Victim #2 is an 11 year old, black male, who was also transported to an area hospital with non- life threatening injuries.

There is no suspect information to release at this time.
