PHOTOS: South Korean delegation visits BPU
News release
The Kansas City Board of Public Utilities (BPU) recently hosted a delegation of South Korean engineering and construction professionals who visited the utility to learn more about its award-winning and nationally recognized water treatment system.
The representatives are currently designing a water treatment facility in South Korea that will require engineering and building requirements similar to BPU’s.
In particular, the delegation was interested in learning how BPU built, and maintains, two of the largest horizontal collector wells in the United States, and that provide the utility a reliable water supply from 12 stories below the Missouri River.
