There's the glory of winning a state title.
There's the banner. There's the championship title given out by KSHSAA.
And then there's the ring.
Courtesy of Piper Pirates athletic director Doug Key, pictured above is the ring the Piper golf team will receive for winning the 4A state title last spring.
The Pirates golf team won the championship at Dubs Dread golf course in KCK, edging out Kaw Valley League rival Tonganoxie.
