As of Friday afternoon, no one in Wyandotte County has been treated for life-threatening injuries as the result of the heat-wave that's hit the Midwest.
The Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department, in a news release, said they've responded to four heat-related calls this week, none of which have been classified as life-threatening.
Temperatures have been in the high 90s to low 100's all week. At least two residents in Kansas City, Mo., have died as a result of the heat.
In a related matter, the department has responded to just one call regarding fireworks.
A small grass-fire was reported to the KCKFD.
However, that's the only complaint the KCKFD have dealt with in regards to fireworks.
