News Release:
A special meeting of the Kansas City, Kansas Board of Education is hereby called for Thursday, April 5, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., in the third floor Board room of the Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools Central Office and Training Center, 2010 N. 59th Street, Kansas City, Kansas.
In addition to regular business itemized in the published agenda, the purpose of such special meeting shall be accept for first read proposed changes to the Student Code of Conduct and to assemble in retreat fashion for a budget workshop.
Board members will recess to executive session under the following exceptions to the Kansas Open meetings Act:
(a) Non-Elected Personnel - To protect privacy interests of the individual(s) to be discussed.
(b) Negotiations - To protect the public interest in negotiating a fair and equitable contract.
(c) Attorney Client Privilege - To protect attorney-client privilege and the public interest.
