The Kansas City, Kan., Fire Department is investigating a fire from Saturday night.

The fire happened at 2844 S. 8th Terrace just after 10 p.m. Saturday night.

According to KCKFD Battalion Chief Craig Duke, about $85,000 worth of damage was done to the home.

No one, however, was harmed during the fire.

“Crews were informed that the residents were not at home during time of fire, but had returned to find their home on fire,” Duke said. “The fire was brought under control within 10 minutes.”

A fire investigator was called to the scene, while the American Red Cross was called to help two adults who lived in the home.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
